FLIPS COMPETE AT AAU NATIONALS

Six members of the Florida Flips Level 5 Boys Team competed in the AAU Men's National Championships at Disney's Wide World of Sports on Saturday. The team, featuring one 11-year-old, two 9-to-10-year-olds and three 7-to-8-year-olds, put together a strong showing all around.

Leading the way were Nick Tolento and Max Keppart, who finished first and second in the Level 5 all-around competition. Tolento also finished in first on the vault, parallel bars and all-around. Keppart took first in the pommel horse, rings and horizontal bar. He also finished second in the floor exercise, parallel bars and all-around with a third-place finish on vault.

Also competing was Sinjin Nelson, who took first on the floor and parallel bars, second in the all-around and rings and third on the pommel horse and horizontal bar before wrapping up the day with a fourth on the vault.

As for the younger kids, Colton Johnson, Ace Harrison and Gage Carpenter all competed hard. Johnson took first on the pommel horse, second on the floor, parallel bars and all-around while adding a third-place finish in the horizontal bar and fourth on the rings and vault. Harrison took fourth on the floor exercise, pommel horse and parallel bars, horizontal bar and in the all-around.

Carpenter wrapped things up for the Flips after placing second on rings, fifth on the vault and eighth in the all-around.
