2016 GY REGIONALS WRAP-UP IN CHARLESTON, SC!

Charleston, South Carolina – Six districts and 725 athletes competed in this year’s AAU Gymnastics Southern Regional Championship hosted by SC AAU Gymnastics and East Coast Gym Supply. The competition was held at the North Charleston Convention Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

Athletes traveled from South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee all in hopes to become a 2016 Southern Regional Champion! Approximately 250 gold medals were awarded throughout the weekend, between individual events and all-around and All American Awards were presented to the highest All-Around Score per level/ session. Not only did athletes compete individually, they also had the opportunity to compete with other gymnasts from their district for the Regional District Awards!

The 2017 AAU Gymnastics Southern Regional will be held at the University of North Carolina Greensboro in Greensboro, NC from May 19-21st. More information can be found online, by clicking here.
