The 2016 AAU Gymnastics Age Group National Championship will be held from June 29th to July 2nd at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This year, the event is expecting to see more than 1,500 athletes from 25 AAU Districts.
The opening ceremony will be held on Friday, July 1st at 7:00 PM in Jostens Center at ESPN Wide World of Sports. Kate Foster, a Level 7 Gymnast battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia will be speaking about her journey and love for the sport.
We are partnering with Kids Helping Kids, a non-profit organization that encourages teens to help each other when faced with a life altering injury or illness. Donations will be accepted throughout the entire event on the 2nd floor of Josten's and 100% of the proceeds will go to children's organizations. Those who donate will be encouraged to sign a banner to show their support for the cause and will also receive a lollipop and pin to thank them for their generosity.
Photos taken at the event will be available after the conclusion of competition on our Facebook page. We encourage you to follow our social media accounts for updates prior to, during, and after the event: Facebook ~ Twitter ~ Instagram. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
Where to find results from this event will be released at a later date.
